The sites I have chosen are of course the ones I prefer when I need advise or inspiration, and I'm sure there are many others around the world who others would prefer.

Nikon global site, normally the reference for Nikon information. Reorganized April 2008. Has links to the rest of the world.
Leading tripod/monopod manufactorer. Definitely not the cheapest, but one of the best.
Gimbal heads, lens plates, lens replacement feet, and a lot of other accessories.
Bjørn Rørslett, a Norwegian nature photographer. He uses a lot of different techniques including IR, UV, pin hole, and afocal photography. Has reviews of a vast number of lenses.
Brad Hill, my favorite site. His images are simply stunning. There is detailed information for each image in the galleries, where, how, and with what equipment the images were captured. Highly recommended, and very educational.
Marsel van Oosten, also a favorite of mine. Offers photo trips to Africa and Europe.
Claus Brandt, site newly redesigned. Also arranges photo tours through his company FOTOCAMPUS.
In his team is, among others, Bence Máté, a young Hungarian photographer, who sees nature in completely new ways. His old site is empty at the moment. You can see some of his work at www.naturart.hu and at the FOTOCAMPUS site.
The site mostly does it in lenses. Testing in the lab may not answer all questions about a lense, but at least they test lenses in a consistent way. They have a very intuitive way of presenting the results.
Bjørn Rørslett, as mentioned above, has reviews of a vast number of lenses. Also reviews of camera bodies and other equipment.
Nikongear, not the largest forum, but one of the best.
